anyone use tracer nocks?

i thought about getting them back when i got my bow, and the idea kinda fizzled out, but now after loosing the arrow that I got my buck with, I kinda wish I had them..Maybe not to re use again, but as a memento(sp) of taking that deer as my first buck, and putting it with the mount. I've read the reviews on Cabelas, and there split between bad and good..just wondering if anyone had any first had experice with them?

 

tracer knocks are a decent idea..........if you have a complete pass thru. from my experience,all my knocks have broken free not to be found again..........but thats from a solid hit. i have shot thru.....would be a complete pass thru, but my broadhead was stuck in the front leg and that impact causes the knock to blow out, and arrow breakage.

try them out man....they arent too expensive, and you may not have to worry bout losing them..............depending on placement/hit area.

 

thats the thing I wondered about..the buck that I shot, I found out from the butcher that when I shot it, the arrow went in on the left side and hit the shoulder on the right side and stop, shattering the right shoulder. When I saw the deer take off with the arrow in it still,didnt occur to me at that time, thats what happened..I just wish i could find that arrow..damnit

anyone want to donate some for me to test out? lol

 

yeah dude.....most of the deer i have hit with an arrow have hit bone and shattered said arrow,save for a few, but shot placement counts...except when the deer move in the slightest.

 

yeh..I know the arrow from about 1/4 way out didnt break, cuz I could see it bouncing away as the deer ran..lol
