I have been using the Miltec so far and I am impressed with the way it hols up thus far! The past two times at the range it has stayed well lubed after 150+ rounds through my Sigs! I believe all new Sigs come with a sample of Miltec as well! Does anybody else use anything that hasn't been mentioned so far?

youll might think im weird, but there isnt a drop of oil/grease on any of my guns.

i clean them with brake clean, dry them with compressed air and call it a day. i will wipe the outside with silicone wipes to keep any rust away.

i have never had any malfunctions and they dont appear to wear any worse

After a thorough cleaning, my pistols get lubricated with FP-10 and I apply TW25 grease along the slide and frame rails. I also float a single drop of FP-10 over the grease on the slide as well.

Gray wire, Some lights in the bed area, and some character marks throughout.
I usually use either Rem-oil, or 3-in-1 oil.

I've also used 3in1 oil. Had a friend who swore by Lubriplate on his 1911's.

From an armorer perspective with the Marine Corps, it depends on the make of the gun. If the stock is synthetic, CLP and other solvents tend to eat at the polymers in the lower reciever when left on too long. Any oil that is 'safe for synthetic' is what I would recommend going with. Otherwise, the CLP is great (used it for years).

I've been using Mobile synthetic 5/30 for years. Soak all firearms in a bucket for 6 hrs. Remove and wipe clean. Wear gloves and face mask to protect self from oil blow back. Just my .02 worth like everyone else. ;)
