Mossberg 500 or Remington 870

    As I said I dont know what they cost now. They moved for Ithica NY a few years ago and are now on sandusky ohio. You may be able to find a used one in good shape. I am fond of the bottom eject because Im a lefty. But then again my gun was bought 15 years ago and the price was very reasonable. If they are now double the cost of the 870's then I wouldnt bother. I got my wife a benelli and she really really likes it. I have a stoeger which is one of benelli's brands and the price is very good on those guns. I havnt had an issue with mine.

    i have a mossberg 500 that is about ten years old the only purpose it serves is to hunt waterfowl. it has been sumerged in water frozen used as a oar on the boat beating holes in ice. never once has it ever jammed on me i love the gun and will only buy mossberg.
