Just Bought an Springfield XD 9

In California the legislature knows that we are all idiots and we have to understand that they know best. Just wait for healthcare! We will all behave much better once we have no rights.

 

Just picked up today.Loved shooting the 9mm but this is my new .40.Paid 615 plus tax bought local.Ordered on Feb 3rd and got today.Took a little while but worth it.

 

Xd .45 the only way to go ! Why ? Because they don't make a 46 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

In a few years I will probably get a .40 or .45 I dunno what type I will get. maybe another xd depending on how this one shoots.

Nice pistol. I saw the tactical xd's on od green at Academy for $499.99 a while back. I should have picked another up. That waiting period would kill me! I hate even waiting the 3 minutes it takes to process me! Glad I live in Texas. You take that puppy home with you that same day. Unless your a fuck up!

I wish I could of gotten the Xdm but it is illegal in Ca.Some of these state laws are stupid.You really think a guy from the street is going to go to Bobs guns store and go through the steps to purchase a gun.He's going around the corner and buy one out of a trunk thats been stolen.Xd's are awesome though.

 

In some states if one obtains a high capacity pistol or rifle, that person will uncontrollably start massacring people. It's a known fact.

Ya California has some bogus laws for pistols. All the dealers half to pay for each model they come out with and its like a $1500 price for each one. So you imagine like a company like Sig Arms or Glock that have quite a few models they cant afford or want to pay for every model they make. If the company changes the gun just a little they have to resubmit a new application for it and fork out another $1500 or so dollars to have it under Cali's recommendations.

 

Cali. is a ten day waiting period on all firearms.

j/k , I'm in another aSSinine state that tells me which guns I can own. The XD is not approved b/c it doesn't meet the AG's safety regs, and of course no one knows more about gun safety than a tree hugging democrat who's never squeezed a trigger in her life. Get me TFO of here.

 

The XD's an awesome weapon. I'm about to buy a Tactical XD 45 5 inch for my duty weapon.

In the mean time, I'm carrying this Match Grade custom built Caspian frame/slide in .45 'cause.....they don't make a .46......





Corbon 165 grain .45's is the ONLY way to go. 600+foot pounds of energy!

Unless, of course, you're carrying RCBS 90grain frangible rounds at 2000 fps at the muzzle......

 

I don't think the waiting period has anything to do with how deadly they are it has to do with how easily concealed they are. That is why they have the "cooling off period" so to speak.

 

I just picked up the xd 9 just over a month ago for 500 and it's a great gun. My wife is left handed and I'm right, so I like that you can drop the clip from both sides. Be sure to stock up on plenty of amo to be ready for when sht hits the fan!!

 

I KNOW the waiting period has nothing to do about safety and is ALL about attorney's (more commonly know as politicians) feel powerful and smarter than the rest of people in this blessed nation and spend their lives creating legislation for all the other people that don't live their lives in a houndstooth sports coats holding their Svendborg pipe!

I'm sure our founders would be deeply saddened as so am I.
