BTW correct me if I'm wrong but I thought you could own a pistol/revolver in Canada provided that the barrel is over 4 and some odd inches in length. I seem to recall a Canadian on TheHighRoad.org that wanted to buy a classic S&W model 63 4.0" barrel but could not because it wasn't long enough.

Edit: Yep barrels have to be http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Handgun#Canada over 4 inches.

 

Not sure about your pistol question , but I do know that it is very uncommon to own a pistol here , lots of paperwork involved , and you definitely can't carry it , concealed or otherwise .

In the states most criminals cannot "afford" guns either, nor can they have them legally (felons etc). Most criminals have criminal buddies who have guns or just simply go out and steal them. But the machete thing is true for some gang in NY (saw it on Gangland) and they're pretty hardcore. They say guns are for pizuzes. (bubba army talk) Anyway we rednecks down here are all gun totin for the most part.

 

well here you can buy a machete for like 20 bucks.

 

Depending on where you live... In some of the Montana Wilderness i play in its a safety thing. Ive had run ins with Bears, Moose and mountain cats, its definately nice to be packing heat when your starrng down a pissed off Moose.

I also carry a concealed pistol which i truely believe saved me one night when i was sized up by some gangbangers in WA state. I arched my back so they could see i had a gun and they backed off

A lot of states have open carry laws but then the local cities come up with their own to prevent it. We still have it in most places in WV.

 

Good people have been working for almost 250 years to ensure that we maintain the right to bear arms. They're all smarter than me, therefore I carry.

And by the way, I believe the US WAS invaded once, while my grandfather was stationed in the Aleutians. It didn't work out so well for the invaders.

 

I carry 24/7/365, because I can. I am NEVER going to be a helpless victim. Guns are not illegal nor should they seem offense. Without firearms and the second ammendment the rest are worthless.
