    i did not post this when i shot a few weeks ago but i thought what the hell i post it.

    not much of story, ground blind in an area with a lot of birds. i got a 20 yard shot on it, hammered it and it went down quickly. taste great, it had a spiral beard and about 1" spurs.

    i did kill it in Oregon believe it or not.

    it scored 231 gross and 225 net, he broke the old Oregon state record by 4+ inches. that record was like 40+ years old. i shot it in 2007 i missed him on the 3rd day of season and killed him 12 days later

    Thats awesome, I was at a sportsmans show and it showed the previous state record and it was a frickin hog. Congrats thats a huge accomplishment not many people get to experience.

    you are asking the most uneducated guy when it comes to turkeys there is i could not tell you the difference other then a hen a jake and tom LOL they all pretty much look like the one i shot but i do know as you get over eastern Oregon there is a different species there. sorry i am not more help.
