Im thinking about getting a new Remington 700 XCR (30-06). I keep seeing that there is the XCR and the XCR II. Does anyone know what has changed? Obv the "II" is a newer edition but is there any advantages that actually matter?

Not sure about the answer to your question. Interested to know what you would be switching from?

I mainly hunt in north PA. I've always used a 30-30 which I like for brush hunting. But I have really been wanting something for long range accuracy because I plan on going on more hunts in other states and would like to know I could take a longer shot if I need to.
