1943 US Army Remington Rand M1911A1, arsenal rebuilt. Stumbled upon it in a pawn shop for a fair price and couldn't let it slip away. I'm very excited, I've wanted one for awhile!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1384045347.471109.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1384045379.972163.jpg

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
I'm slowly recovering from Garand-itis. I need to start looking for old 1911's now. I found a Colt commercial model from 1921, but it had a tough life, a crappy re-blue, and I wasn't going to drop $1100 on it in that shape. Half that, maybe.

Very nice find! Checkmate is making GI-style magazines for 1911's now, too , with the USGI-pattern (full taper, not hybrid) feedlips. They work well in old USGI pistols and equally well in the modern 1911's I've tried.
