Like the title says I'm trying to find a new/replacement stock for my Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 Featherweight. I've found a ton of direct replacement stocks for the post-64 but not much for the pre, and nothing that seems to be a direct fit drop in, most descriptions say gunsmithing required. I've been to a few local shops and they recommend ordering the stock and bringing it in to have them fit it, but they want big money to do the work. Any help or experience in finding a stock for the pre64 featherweight would be great.

    Thanks in advance,
    DJ

I think a constant and continuing search on Guns America, and Gun Broker should yield something.

    Even ebay.
