can i get pulled over for this?

would you rather have cali's smog law? IMO hawaiis law when it comes to vehicles is pretty fair as its for safety

i don't know anything about the smog law.

why would a smog inspection be worse than a recon? does the inspection only pertain to vehicle emissions or does it also cover ridiculous things such as tint, lifts, drops, etc also.

i'm all for vehicle safety and all, and i know there would be a lot of unsafe rides out there if these laws weren't there, but sometimes i think it's a little too much. just another source of income for our trusty government.

compared to other states (with the exemption of cali) our laws seem a bit anal.

rendog i feel ya. Although I've come to recently find out that the reason we have recon and saftey inspections is because there used to be a union that was running out of money. So to make money they thought that getting everyone to get a saftey inspection would bring in revenue to our local tire shops. Which is pretty much all it does. The only problem is now that we have to actually pay someone to say "your safe" every 12 months. Complete bull shit if you ask me. For example if your in washington then the "saftey" inspection makes sense but is ran by the state and there is no profit to be gained. Here its all about the $$$

 

if only if that marijuana bill passed that would make having a joint or two in the car a citation not a misdemeanor.. the state would make plenny money that way....... but no....

 

I'd love to smoke a bowl legally...
