    I'm assuming so. He has no front flaps also but, the ticket was for " no rear mud flaps". So he cant ROOST cars...lol

    here you guys go:

    [§286-202.8] Mudguards; protective devices. (a)A commercial motor vehicle shall not be operated on the public highways unless the vehicle is equipped with fenders, covers, or other devices, including flaps or splash aprons, to minimize the spray or splash of water or mud to the rear of the vehicle.
    (b) Violation of this section shall be subject to a fine of $50, notwithstanding section 286-206. [L 2005, c 134, pt of §1]

    most of the time, only sheriffs tag for silly things like that.

    must define the, "commercial vehicle" of this statement. I find it hard to believe as many stock trucks are roaming the streets without any mudflaps. Is it because they came stock that they cannot be removed? Guess I will find out sooner or later as I'm always passing through Nimitz for work, and I threw my mudflaps away the day I bought my Tacoma.

    X2 same thing for me on both counts, the drive and the throwing away...lol

    Commercial vehicles are those that are owned by businesses, and used for business. The license plate numbers are different on commercial trucks, 3 numbers followed by 3 alpha, ie: 333 TRK. So that statute doesn't apply to private vehicles.

    Yes, watch out for the sheriffs, they have no sense of humor. Tag you for anything they can.
