kinda proves how much those rugged trails suck haha... less grip=better float on the sand

Never aired down in sand either, when I had my Taco I used my Rugged Trails, BFG ATs, only got stuck once in 2wd with the ATs. Also on my 86 Xcab, I used some off brand MTs and Super Swapper LTBs never got stuck. Have friends that had all kinds of different tires, no airing down. Even seen cars yes cars drive on sand no airing down and not get stuck. Most of my Sand driving was done in the Outer Banks NC, don't this the sand here is much different than the sand there. In my JK I have used the crappy Good Year GS-A, and current tires are Hankook AT-m .... no stuck.

 

doesnt matter that you get stuck or not, an aired down tire will perform better than a hard one on the sand

just like the rocks, you don't need to air down for them, and you might not get stuck

doesnt mean you wouldn't have had more traction aired down

the "need" is the subjective part

 

Still supposed to have recon.

 

Larger tread void makes em dig down faster in sand than street tires. If you don't air down you'll notice it sink way faster.

No, but if you guys have a photoshop CS I can show you how to do it

I took 10 portrait images and stitched them together with photomerge. It's all pretty much automatic as long as you take the pictures pretty level and leave a good overlap.

Here are the 10 shots (really small so I don't take up a whole page). They made for a total resolution of 14,144 x 4,599 after I cropped out the corners.

 

I used to do 360* panos from the RC heli. This guy (DJvegh) is the master tho.

thats why i want to get some street tires when my duratracks are all pau (cheaper and better for driving on road) ill leave my mudd-grapplers for the fun days haha

I can show y'all a couple of places where we can drive through, airing down is a must. All sand.

 

It's all subjective too....I drove across the beach in Florida in a Honda Accord. Wasn't anywhere near getting stuck.

Howzit everybody,
Anyone selling a set of alloy tpms or know where I could buy a set? Need it for my new wheels since the steel tpms isn't a direct swap. And I've heard that a strap band kit isn't recommended and rotating them 180 degrees can yield mixed results. Thanks again guys. Cant wait to mount my SCS wheels!
