    this ^

what components are you getting for the $400?

    edit:

    You beat me to it.

OEM with FX-R sounds like a pretty good deal for $400 imo (depending on condition/leaking/ect...)

just seems strange to me that $400 would be a good deal. isnt the retrofit kit about $300? again i may be completely wrong. its early. oh well im not comfortable with that price. im gonna skip out.

    EDIT:
I should just stop being lazy and do my own BHLM and retrofit

The kit itself is around $300-$400. But then you gotta do the work yourself on your own headlights. The nice thing here is they are coming already retro fitted. (that could be a good thing or bad thing, depending on if the guy knew what he was doing and resealed everything properly). I think I've seen completely built retros go for $450-$600 on TW here.

Not bad if you're stock and everything works. The more mods to suspension ect. The worse lol

You modded your truck?? Pics don't look like you did, but if your truck is lifted, lowered, tires 2 sizes bigger, or bumpers different than stock, you gotta go get recon (reconstruction). Thread at the top of the Hawaii page.

If no mods, think it is pretty much standard.. no smog test here like they do in some states.

Lol, If I had spare weight with all my household $hit I would. The trucks only lifted 3 inches, as for that nothing else and the tires are stock size. I have a really small nick in the middle of my windshield will that be a problem?

    1. Technically, lifted gotta go through recon. If it is a non-obvious lift may not be a problem for a standard safety check, but to worry less about the hassles just go get your recon. Easy as you have stock tires so they should not stick out past your stock fenders. Just need to make an appointment and get a wheel alignment 30 days before your recon appt. (remember to bring all your alignment papers with you).
    2. Nick on the windshield should be o.k depending how big the nick is. If it starts to run, then that probably won't pass. Probably better to call your insurance and get that filled sooner than later. With my car insurance it was free. Even when we had USAA it was covered.

well from what Ive read its just to get your truck road worthy to Hawaii standards i.e. bigger fender flares and mud flaps. Hopefully they dont hit me to hard.

Its a way for the state to screw you more than necessary. Pretty much making sure that suspension upgrades have been done properly

made these, since i'm stuck at work all day and can only do paperwork for so long.

hopefully it works, otherwise i'll figure out a way to re-purpose it.

Your going to have to get recon when you get here since you are lifted. Come Nov. 1st safety check is going under a major overhaul. The days of getting illegal safety checks from shops is going to be a thing of the past unfortunately. Pictures are going to be required now.
