could be a bad ballast or bad bulb.

a friend had a similar problem and ended up going through 3 ballasts all warrantied.

 

Well you also don't have a curse'ed torque converter to bog down your mileage

Swap your bulbs. If the problem follows, it's the bulb. If not and you have a new ballast that you think is good, then you could look at the relay. To check your relay, just check for input power at the ballast. If you don't have power, then it could be the relay or still could be wiring. Just do a visual and check to see that nothing's burnt or damaged. Hope that helps.

 

I remember when buying my truck the auto claimed to get better mpg than standard. Idk, but im sure the auto vs standard doesn't play as much of a role as it did before.

 

yeah i heard the same.... im sure its because most people shift at around 2k rpms and above..... i shift at 1200 to 1500 rpm that would be my reasoning. i drive the autos every day at work... i noticed thats how the auto shifts is at low rpms. decided to copy and sure enough im getting way better mpgs. At least when i want to rip it i can

 

I think I'm cheating the most haha average 24-25 22 at worse haha 4 banger 5 speed not bad the gears are long ten with 245/35/19 and my rims are heavy

Phil, just realized I drive by your house every day. Now that you said you're using your stock tires. I keep telling myself, one day that canopy is gonna fly away. LOL!

 

Bra..... u don't even kno. That canopy has over 4 hundred lbs holding it down and it still wants to lift off the ground in heavy winds bra I worry. But soon my 35s r going on. Maybe in a week or 2
