I got my OEM Titan uppers in, just looking for lowers now. Then if I really like he mid travel I'll ditch the OEM uppers and get some tubular uppers for another 3" of down travel, which should give me 14-14.5" of travel overall.

Don't need a puller. Just hit the side with a small hammer and it will come loose. Plus Kaleos truck is new, should come off easy.

 

to test it out, I threw on a cutoff wheel

but I put the wheel on upside down

...

alas, I don't know how 2nd gens work. hahaha

lr's are just bj swaps too, so shouldnt be so hard


watch the welds on them though, people have been having problems

 

Well wen me an phil did my struts we actually needed to use a pry bar to seperate the uca an spindle. So maybe ill rent or borrow a puller.

 

Easy trick, support truck on frame, let suspension go to full droop, and put floor jack right below lca without touching it. Then undo balljoint nut, and give the spindle a couple whacks from the side. The coilover applies pressure for you.

That's what I always do, works like a charm

 

I got a puller you can borrow if you in the area. I usually put pressure with the puller, and bang the flat part of the spindle with a brass hammer. Usually pops right out.

 

Fixed my tie rods it really did only take me an hour.

 

Yeah buddy! Did you have to have it aligned after? Or you just do it yourself?

 

doin that first thing tomorrow morning.... i wanna learn how to do my own alignments tho.

 

It's pretty time consuming, and not nearly as accurate. But with enough time you should be able to get it within .1 deg of spec. Then you can just adjust as you drive normally until it's to your liking.
