Not sure what the pricing is but I saw a Chemical Guys sign out in the newer Cambell area. (the loop where the new hardware hawaii, fire station, goodwill, and paint place is.

 

Any Hawaii guys running the OME 3" lift 885 on their trucks? I'm looking to get that lift and wondering how the ride is.

I have 886's

 

Brooks has 885s on the OME shocks.. I have 885s on 5100s.. ride is good.. granted not plush like Rick's Icons but its a truck right???

 

Where you get the lifts from?

I'm running 885s on 5100s.. I like it def feels better to me. I don't have the 1/4' spacer on but I doubt it make a difference on the ride quality.

 

Brooks and I got them through the boss GB.. I already had the 5100s, just went from 884s to 885s.

You can order them from pretty much anywhere (even from Amazon) and it is (for the most part) a DIY install. There IS someone here who is running OME shocks on regular TRD Bilsteins, but most recommend getting the 5100s or OME shocks..

 

I wouldn't call my Icon's "plush" lol. I wanna try ride in a truck with Kings and see what the difference is. Has given me no problems/issues at all.
Or someone try and buy coilovers from ADS and let me try ride in that.
Of course I love my set-up now because I only have 5100's set at 2.5" to compare it to.

 

Iven got Fox and his rides really nice. I drove Miles Supercharged beast with 5160's and a Toytec lift kit and it rides really well too. I can't tell much difference really between there's and mine honestly. I can tell you that riding on a spacer lift and blocks with my OEM off-road shocks I first had felt like a covered wagon on a logging trail though.... The diff was huge!!!

Yeah, I don't think there's a big difference between brands. Otherwise. Only one brand would be dominating the industry. You gotta choose either rides nice like a car on road and sucks off road or rides stiffer on road and nice off road.

 

In a way I almost don't wanna ride in his truck because there's no way I could change coilover brands now. Lol

The real reason I went with Icon is because I'm lazy and mine are really easy to adjust.

 

I find mine ride both well on and off-road, but the big diff off-road is when I air down and THEN they feel like I riding on pillows...

Something about "Black" that makes them sound wicked cool.
