I get almost 16mpg with driving quite a bit, I do a lot of client visits so I do a lot of city driver obviously and I mean it's not like our freeway is miles and miles and miles long. I am reading in the main 2nd gen forum people getting 21-23 mpg, I wish I could get that here. Does anyone succeed at getting higher than 16mpg?

You up Maui, cherry! I didn't even realize we had a winter/summer blend due to our variance in weather compared to the mainland. Very interesting.

When I first got my 05 I swear I was getting 24-26 but that was mostly long distance driving(36 miles one way to work). It dropped down to 14/15 with 33 swampers and with 285/75s right now its around 17.
Several weeks ago I got 17mpg in a 3.4 5 spd taco hauling a trailer over saddle rd with the truck loaded up with gear.

Weird, no check engine lights or low idle vibrations with ethanol free. Well, not weird since a lot of people switched back over to e free.

Just averaged 18.9 on my last tank with highway and in town driving. Running about 35psi in my 265/75's.

Our 06 5 lugger averaged to about 22.4 on the last tank so I use it more often as a DD now.

I usually average 19-20+ per tank. But I drive to work before 5am and then sit in traffic all the way home. Hawaii Kai to Pearl Harbor, about 40 miles daily commute.
    Stock tires for now.

it's kinda all over the place. I carry a bit of stuff though, so i'm sure the weight is a factor. long flat stretches is where I see the highest avg.

Low of 16/gal, high of 22, but mostly in traffic, average I think around 18. And yes, I do drive like the old man that I am. Also try not to use AC as much as possible.

I average 19-20 mpg Puna to Hilo about 22 mpg going to Kona or Volcano...that's running 87 octane. I might try 91 to see if it makes a difference. The engine pings climbing saddle road.

I get about 280 full tank with 91 octane. That is taking easy on the throttle. But when I get heavy feet it drop to about 240-250 on a full tank.
