    Some altitude would be good, too. When we hike, we usually try to climb 1000' or more depending on terrain.

    like nbt808 said Haleakala is a beautiful hike! poli poli mentioned earlier is awesome too both have pleanty altitude there are all kind of hiking trails threw poli poli. poli poli road goes all the way to the top of the mountain there are some pretty fun offroading spots up there too took my fj80 up there a few times haven't taken my tacoma yet! poli poli has awesome downhill mountain biking trails too.

    Nice. Sounds like a brutal day though. I'm game for about a 6 hour hike tops, so I can still walk by the end of the day (until the cocktails set in, that is).

    If any Maui folks want to meet up during that last week in June (hike day will be either the 25th, 26th, or 27th) I'd like to meet some HI taco peeps.

    There's a lot of hiking trails in Lahaina. A couple of good snorkeling places are in kaanapali and honolua.

    Wal-Mart carry now too. they get couple different colors and the glossifier.
