What's up fellas, I'm looking for any ideas on the best place to get a trd sc installed. I have one dealer quoting me $1100 for labor, and another saying that I need to buy the sc through them and have them install it for $5600. I also tried 4wheelparts and they said they don't install superchargers. Honestly I would pay maybe 800 tops for install and reflash and even then that's more than reasonable IMO. Anyone have any insight?

300 more for the dealer to do it?? Would they warranty their work? Not sure, but that may be worth a bit extra.

Yea they should warranty their work, and it is tempting and might be the best price I could hope to find, but I'm not even sure if that would cover the reflash. I just think 1100 is way too steep for labor, I realize its hawaii but most places labor should be around $600.

Got the supercharger thru trd4parts and had Servco installed it. But Servco does not honor the warranty cuz you never buy the supercharger thru them. Lemon177 installed his own.

From what I read in the oahu members thread there was also an issue with them when it came to quality of work and parts missing. Now I'm wondering is it worth a cheap price for that kind of service and no warranty or suck it up and go with the dealer.

Servco is going to charge you their hourly rate of $125 I think it is or close to that amount. They've done enough of them over the years, and should have it down by now and a set price but who knows who they give it to.

It really isn't hard to install just need basic hand tools. The hardest part is tightening the crank bolt to spec on the auto trucks because its difficult to keep the crank from spinning. I installed mine myself along with 3 others over the years, and drove the trucks to servco after for the reflash only.

Hmm there's really no way for me to do the install it myself, I have no exp, tools, or time right now. I guess it comes down to quality of work, I have a 2010 with 40k miles so the warranty isn't as important as it would have been years ago, but it's still better than nothing.

Servco installed mine and my coolant resovior was leaking at the hose clamp. Took it back to Servco since they installed it and they said need to order parts. Since TRD does not have individual part numbers and it comes in a kit. Till this day still waiting for Servco to call me back with a part number. Read the installation manual and come to find out Servco installed the wrong hose clamp. If a certified tech can't follow instructions you will better off installing it by yourself. I just had mine installed due to problems with my 5,000 first oil change they did not tighten the lug nuts on my rear tire and nearly came off going down red hill. So they gave me a deal on installation of the supercharger. Long story short if you want done right DIY.

The dealership installed it and didn't tighten the lugs or servco?

Hmm yea I might just have to suck it up and go with the dealer to ensure at least some quality is put into the install.

So, you're going to have the dealer install it instead of Servco? Let us know what Toyota dealer you're using......
