Aloha, Yes i need safety check asap. I had a shop that would pass it with my dark tint, but they are now closed. lmk Mahalo

 

Rip the front window tint off and put em back on. No shop will pass you now days with dark tint unless the front windows are lighter than the back. You can probably get away with a 20% front and 5% back at the shop i usually go to. I have a 5% all around tint but i just ripped off the front windows to make it easier. Anyway i noticed a lot more 3rd gen Tacomas having black out tints all around. Anyone else notice that?

 

They dont need to get a safety check for 2 years. So that's the chance to run um had.

 

Yep that was my train of thought for getting a blackout tint. I think it's worth it to have a black out tint all around, the pros outweigh the cons. Privacy is one of the biggest pros for me. Sometimes I just don't want to be seen when I'm driving around (I have those days).

 

I currently have 5 all around, bought it and previous owner said he just took it to a random place with the windows down and they passed him no problem. Worst case scenario I'll just peel and put on a new set after.

 

If only it was that easy....
