Custom Roof rack

My 01 doesn't have gutters on the top, so im wondering how I can mount a custom roof rack that im going to build securely onto the truck. The rack is going to be approx 4 feet wide, by 5 feet long and over hang over the windshield so i can mount another 40' light bar under the rack like the one I have below my bumper.

So i guess im asking to see if anyone has mounted bars ontop of their gutterless 1st gen securely with out drilling threw the roof and how did they do it?

Will post pics of the build when I have a idea.

 

I used to have a yakima and they have racks that will mount on the inside of your door
