    If I had to do it again today, I would go multi rotor with a gopro or something. The lipo will bubble for a few days in salt water, but yeah, can throw away after that.

    Only if its fully charged. It just vents super hot gas and flames sometimes :D
    I had a fully charged one and threw a knife at it. Pretty good show :cool:

    And yeah, you could fly the heli in FPV, but hard to do in a heli since it can fly in all directions. Most of the time I flew solo and aimed the camera with the heli. If I had a second operator for the camera, he can pan tilt whenever.

    Do it! That way I can have someone to fly quads with! My heli skills never really took off, I can fly decent though. But I been getting better with my Nano QX :p

    That looked like a professional aerial photographer setup.
    There's some guys with the quad rotors with cameras that videos some rc crawler events, came out good. I was surprised at how high and how much control he had over that thing.

    Yeah, it was. I did a few jobs. Mostly real estate, and group pictures for this giant pharmaceutical company from japan. I have a nice LCD in a pelican case that mounts to a tripod for the camera operator. Never made money with the video cam heli. I wanted to use it for golf and stock footage.
