Tinting Questioon

Anyone know a shop that will do tint past the legal limit? I did the 35 all the way around and i like make the front even with the back since the back already had the privacy tint.. Also looking for a good price as well.. Mahalo>>

Midnight tinting by ward theaters will do whatever tint you want. He did both my cars with no problems. Its been 4 years since I last took a car there though.

 

just make a form stating its for show use only and not their responsibility when the vehicle leaves their property.

but I know what you mean, 15-20% is perfect for the hot hawaii weather.

 

up to you if u like pay 600 bucks a in tickets if you get busted for illegal tint..

 

get one place in my area that does whatever you like. I tinted my wife's car and my 2 trucks there. guy asked if I wanted to go all 5%, even over the privacy tint. I had to decline cause I still gotta get recon after I get suspension installed. I'll message you the place.

I know AL's tinting would do it for me, but they wont give the warranty on it. They not the cheapest either.

 

No way you'll pass inspection with darker than 35%. Mine is 34.8% and they give me crap every time. Have you gotten a recon yet for your lift? The days of sleazy/easy inspections are over....

 

I wouldn't be doing it if I couldn't get safety.. Nah I don't have recon. Just got new safety last month.. If all my lines to get safety fall through I jus going rip of the tints.

 

I could be wrong, but I think they allow up to 6% darker than the "legal" 35%. Tint Zone did one of my cars before, which had a really slight tint in the glass. so applying 35% over it brought it down to ~30%, and you're supposed to be able to pass as long as the meter doesn't read below 29%. sure enough, took my car in and it passed. I asked them what the tint meter read, and he said 31%.

 

what about the front strip? how dark can that be? i know if get the as-1 line can go that far

 

Top windshield strip can b as dark as u want. I did 5%.

 

pass safety no problem?

 

U can spray paint it black if u wanted. Top strip doesnt obstruct drivers view. Unless your 8ft tall lol, den u belong in a tundra.
