    Howzit all,

    I know, I know, I don't own a Tacoma, but I enjoy all things Toyota. :D
I discovered this place by accident while looking around for a replacement rear locker actuator. I actually found one here, and bought it from a Tacoma guy in Utah. I lucked out on that one.

Anyhow, my name's Steve, and I own a 2007 TRD FJ Cruiser. I belong to a small group of wheelers here on Oahu known as the Aloha FJ Cruisers. We have a page on Facebook under the same name. I own the black one.
I've been lurking here in the Hawaii section for a little bit, and enjoy seeing other local Toyota guys having fun off road. I particularly liked the last Peacock Flats outing thread. We were out there on the 21st of March, and it was muddy and slick, too. Good times.

Well, I just thought that I'd drop in and formally introduce myself. Maybe we could all get together for a trail run sometime? Our trucks may be different on the outside, but they share a lot of DNA as well. Plus, we all live here and wheel in the same areas. I'd love to talk shop about wheeling, Toyotas, and whatevers. Hope to see you guys on the trail some day!

    Steve

    Hi Steve, welcome!

I think if I took my bed off, I'd have an FJ too :D

Our trucks share a ton of stuff..and I must say that I'm rather jealous of the stock FJ manual T-case and rear disks.

    Sounds cool!
I hope we can have a joint run sometime in the near future. I know the guys I wheel with will enjoy the company of other Toyotas too.
We also do Kaena, but haven't been down there since the permit system started. Two of us here have permits.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Kaena kinda blows now. It's a nice spot to go to chill. Some guy actually stopped me who doesn't work for DLNR saying there's no wheeling when I zero intentions of doing so. I'd rather just go and check out the coves or bird sanctuary.

Welcome though! It would be cool to have a FJ/Tacoma get together.

Really? I heard there were guys up there trying to "force" their way in when guys with the combo showed up at the gate. The only time it's really fun out there is when it rains.

I also like the idea of a joint run. We enjoy getting out and checking out the sights. We pretty much did all the trails out there, but we're more about having a good time and making sure everyone gets home with no injuries or damage.

I was wondering when you would find this thread. That didn't take long at all.
Guys, Wes here is another member of our little wheeling group.
We were both wondering who was going to "break the ice" and post up first on this forum.
I agree with Wes. it would be nice to talk to people who share our passion for wheeling and Toyotas.:D

    Thanks Ryan!

I haven't been back since that last time I saw you I think. Plus Richard left the island so it was hard making it back out there lol, plus my SC8 took a dive and I never looked at since so I have no idea whats wrong with it still lol. probably ESC. don't want to deal with it anymore. I haven't even touched my crawlers either. picked up a couple of Tamiya kits when I went to japan last june and I still haven't started building them lol. im getting the itch again though.
