I see a lot of lifted Tacomas on Oahu. I see a mgm tacoma sport everyday when I go to school. It parks on Beratania near the JCC...is that anyones truck on here? Its lifted with a retractable bed cover and black rims...super sick

Anyways, my question is what do you guys recommend for a 3" lift? I have been looking around the forums and was thinking about going with bilstein 5100's and AAL. Anyone have any input on this? Also, wheres a good place to get the lift installed and about how much could i expect to pay to get the lift installed? Feel free to reply with what setup you're running and how you like it. Thanks guys

IMO, OME for me, from toytech. But its all up to you. You have to decide what you really want to go with.

I'm running (and always recommend) toytec's 3" coils on 5100's with toytec's AAL. Never had a problem on it, and you cant beat the price.

Only think I'd change is getting a new leaf pack rather than the AAL. No problems with it, but eventually even the AAL is going to sag (Leafs were starting to sag before)

OME and Toytec are the cheapest lifts that are the best quality, but for more money you could be looking at a whole wider range of different lifts

^ agree with Kona. toytec is a good site to search on. Plus the idea you had in mind was a good setup, the bilsteins and the aal and you can get that stuff from toytec

+1 for Toytec. I have the ultimate lift myself and I really like it. Instead of going with AAL's I went with the Dakar leaf pack though. The ride is perfect but the leafs squeak...but the noise don't really bother me

Toytec 3'' lift coil with 5100's up front and new leaf pack or AAL (cheaper) in back along with 5100's in back if you can. Rides great IMO

That's sick..I don't really wanna drop 1k+ on a lift kit. I don't plan on doing any off roading in my taco. Just wanna accommodate bigger tires and have a little more aggressive stance.

That set up shouldnt be 1k. it should run up to about $500-$700 depending where you shop from

Sorry on getting back so late. Thats not my truck. Magnetic grey is the most common colored Tacoma on this island, but yeah, go with toyteclifts. Ordered some parts from them, pretty reasonable and fast shipping.

Do you have 4 wheel drive? If not a spindle lift gives you great ride with 4" of lift and pretty cheap.

I've got a PreRunner so I'm going for a Maxtrac Spindle lift with a 3" leaf pack in the back.
