Muscle milk is junk. Full of fillers. Before bed have a casein shake. Its slow digesting which helps prevent catabolic state which occurs when ur asleep.
If u can, get a liquid vit. It's absorbed better. Sams club has one that tastes great low cals, and sugar free

Do a routine that works for you, don't get one from a magazine! Those guys didn't use the routine they are hawking to get looking the way they do...

Figure out how your body responds to different ways of exercising, do you respond better to light weight high rep or heavy weight low rep? Are you better 2 on 1 off 2 on 2 off or Monday, Wednesday, Friday, weekends off?

My routine is the same, Mon, Wed, Fri weights, Tues, Thurs, Sun cardio. With weights I mix it up, usually follow the german volume training (light weight high rep very little rest) with 5x5 cluster training (low rep 90% of one rep max rest-pause style). My body responds great to this routine when I keep the diet in check lol.

I do a lot of compound exercises and such things, pull ups, squats, dead lifts, bench etc.

    My routine looks like this:

    Monday: Legs/pull ups
    Tuesday: Bike
    Wednesday: Chest/deadlifts/pull ups
    Thursday: Bike again
    Friday: Arms/shoulders
    Sat: Off
    Sunday: Cardio/modified 300 workout/kick boxing/bag work

got a question for you guys. right now im taking Gold Standard 100% Whey protein, lifting in the every morning (yes i am alternating my workouts so not to work the same body part everyday and running during the day. im trying to lose weight (why i stopped taking creatine). bout 3 weeks ago i was at 220 and right now im down to 210 so im pretty happy at the results so far. I was wondering if any of you guys take this type and if you take a type called Casein at night to keep your metabolism going? Also says its better to take during the day because its slower digesting than normal whey

Gold standard is...exactly what it says lol. Its great stuff, ON protein is fantastic.

What you're thinking of is Casein protein, its great stuff, also found in cottage cheese! You can eat a half or a whole cup of cottage cheese before bed and its the same as talking a shake.

Sun- Off day, but I do some light cardio

I drink a lot of water. Only take a multi vitamin and soy protein. Keep an eye on my diet and I'm good to go. When I get in a little better shape I'll do P90X and then rotate every three months. I started the P90 and then found out I needed to be in better shape to knock it out. I like the yoga and ab workouts though. Cardio is something different when I get tired of the elliptical at the gym.

Was looking at your wourk out routine, and was wondering if all you do for back is pull ups?

Since the spring semester is out, I haven't gone to the gym, :( just pull ups, push ups, bicep curls, tricep (skull crushers I think they're called), hanging leg lifts. I've lost 3 pounds of mass since the day I haven't hit the gym and it's killing me.

Working out at home just doesn't do it for me, aaaaaaah :goingcrazy: I see myself in the mirror, and can see the difference between now and a month ago. I lose weight real fast cuz of my metabolism. It's a good thing I know, but it still gets to me. haha

    rant over...

My metabolism is the same way as yours lol I know what you mean and I rant about it too!

My pull up work out is crazy and its mostly what I do yes. Sometimes I do bent over rows or something along those lines but mostly pull ups, and here it is:

    AMRAP: Wide grip pull ups
    10 second rest
    AMRAP: Medium grip pull ups
    10 second rest
AMRAP: Medium grip pull ups (palms facing you)
    10 second rest
AMRAP: Close grip chin ups (palms facing you)

    Rest 3 minutes

    Do it again!

    Rest 3 minutes

    Do it AGAIN!

Personal Best on squat and leg press today, 5 reps at 315 squat and 2 sets of 2 reps at 800 on the leg press.

Pull ups today was a bitch, pumped out 21 wide grip, 16 medium grip, 15 reverse medium, and 12 narrow grip chin ups...on the first round. My numbers on the second and third round are not worth mentioning.

On another note, I don't know if its just a bad batch or what, but this ON Platinum Hydrobuilder protein I got is fuckin nasty. It kicks my ass, makes me feel like crap after each time I take it...not good.

I usually love ON stuff but between this and the orange flavored Amino Energy, I've been sitting on the porcelain throne for the past week.
