I'll probably be going out for my own elk sometime in the near future. Maybe not this year as I have quite a bit of meat lined up just for helping friends pack out their elk when the time comes. I normally just offer myself up to tag along on hunts and help pack out for a good freezer full that lasts a good while.

I haven't hunted any big game myself due to not having the freezer space or be able to use the majority of the meat. My dad was never much into the work it takes to clean and pack out an animal either so my child hood was ruined . Now that I am in College there are tons of hungry young mouths that would take the meat off my hands and I can get a chest freezer. I kill small critters on occasion while camping to practice snares or some fancy primal hunting trick I found on the web but those are generally not much for a meal .

    hot damn, shorty!

Now we're talking my language. Deer, fish, squirrel, rabbit, dove, turkey....pretty much anything that has meat on it and is in the wild is fair game...no pun intended. By far one of my favorite past-times/hobbies
