I've seen "trainers" give worse advice on form then any. Best bet would be to video yourself, then watch.

You doing high reps?

 

my old weight training instructor was adamant that you should never squat past parallel nor touch your chest in the bench...

 

quantity over quality bro!!! it's all about looking cool with as many 45's on the bar as possible

 

this guy was going for his PhD in kinesio, and apparently had time as a trainer for a few NHL teams

it made me kinda sad. haha

 

Yea those kipping push ups will hurt your bench strength

You win haha to clarify iv never had to kip a pushup i can do pushups all day long just bench kills me, i work out alone so i never can go heavy on it

i ment it like i can do pushups no problem, yet bench challenges me more than any other lift....you guys are a hard bunch to please in this thread
