Last night a storm came through that only lasted like 10 mins, but it knocked out a leg on a transformer, so all our high-powered stuff at the gym (treadmills, ellipticals, the AC) wasn't getting any power. No AC in GA when it's 95 degrees outside with 100% humidity fucking blows. I came in this morning and the power company still hadn't fixed it. They just finally got done and got everything back up and running.

On a more pleasant note, I destroyed shoulders and tri's last night in the blazing heat

    Had 2 firsts last night:

    1. Did 14 total reps on shrugs with 125 lb dumbbells
    2. Did 36 total reps on dips with a 45 lb weight

    overhead press: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6 w/ 60, 60, 50, 50 lb dumbbells
    side lat raises: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6 w/ 25, 25, 20, 20 lb dumbbells
    reverse flys: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6 w/ 25, 25, 20, 20 lb dumbbells
    shrugs: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6 w/ 110, 110, 125, 125 lb dumbbells
    dips: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6 w/ 45 lb weight
    one-arm dumbbell extension: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6 w/ 30 lb dumbbell
    rope pushdowns: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6 @ 170, 180, 180, 190 lbs

I usually do either dumbbell rows, barbell rows, or t-bar rows. I forgot to put in by barbell rows:

    barbell rows: 3 sets of 15 @ 85 lbs

I usually only do 4 back exercises, but I was just feeling it today!

That's usually me post-leg day. The day after I'm like, "fuck, I was lifting like a little bitch yesterday" and then two days after I'm like, "well, this blows" and I can't even sit down to shit or go down stairs properly

I usually don't ever get sore anywhere but chest, legs, and sometimes back, tri's, and traps. Shoulders and biceps rarely get sore. If I skip a week, I may get sore on everything though. The general bb.com consensus is that DOMS doesn't equal gains, but I do feel more accomplished when I gets DOMS

i get sore every single workout, ever since i started training powerlifting style. i can't remember the last time that i worked out that i wasn't sore the next day or day after. i think the trick is that i log my workout and i always trying to get 1 more rep in or 1 more lb on my lifts every workout, slowly progressing. And the type of sore is usually really deep, the kind that hurts so good.

On bulks, I go up in weight every week, but just don't get that sore. I am growing according to the scale and according to the amount of weight being lifted, but never get DOMS, except in chest, back, and legs mostly. I read that (here comes the broscience) DOMS is mainly indicative that a muscle group hasn't been used in a while or isn't used to the motion that made it sore. For instance, if I do bench every week, I won't get that sore in my chest, but if I only do bench once a month, I'll most likely be sore....again, I'm not sure, but I don't feel like my workout was useless if I'm not sore, although I love the feeling of some good ol DOMS

EDIT: waiting on a 7 page essay from JordanSmith127 any minute now :stirthepot:
