Man - you really don't need one really... Visit your library or book store and pick up some decent reading/reference material... Read that while you recover from your workouts.

That's what I'm doing. I still feel like it's lacking though.

A lot of gyms offer free sessions with trainers when you sign up... You could use those free sessions for a quick overall assessment - plus, you could use that time to ask a pro all the questions you might have.

Back that up with some good books... like some of the ones I suggested (particularly the Bodybuilding Encyclopedia by Arnold, which breaks down exercises by muscle group).

My gym at home, World Gym, offers specials to join sometimes... like no enrollment fee and only 15 bucks a month.

After a month of copious food intake, 5-6 days in the gym, and heavy weights..here's my progress! I've never had a good defined back but this really makes me happy and more motivated!

I do a lot of dead lifts and squats, lat pull downs, bent over rows, reverse bent over rows, cable rows, straight leg dead lifts, good mornings, close and wide grip pull ups. I really do need more traps but it would be just my luck to get on a traps program and become a no neck haha. Like I stated in my previous post, I'm doing muscle and fitness mags rock hard challenge. Not officially with the competing for a prize (I missed the dead line) but just in my own way to see what I can get to. They have traps set up in the work out program so I'll get a few reps in.

I do pull ups!!!! :p Lots of them! Super set usually with pull downs. Or I super set them with bent over rows. I've had good success with heavy close grip pull downs (palms facing towards me). I do v-bar pull ups also on occasion.

no close grip on any back excercises.. do a hook grip. exclude the thumb.... this focuses more on your back than your biceps.

trust.... youll see better results, and its definitely harder
