Oh, I understand that completely. That's why, when I'm not in the gym, I'm a lazy piece of shit...gotta keep from burning those calories haha.

x23412345. If I'm not at the gym, I'm at school. It doesn't help that I work at the gym and spend around 35 hours there a week anyway. About 31 of those are me sitting on my ass though lol. If it's the weekend, I'm sitting in front of the tv or in the woods shooting guns and being American and shit. I live a very sedentary lifestyle outside the gym haha

I'm talking net carbs (fiber is neutral) I stay away from starchy carbs too, I'm aware of carbs in vegetables, and so far my brain worked fine even on low low carb diets - I'm at ~100g usually, just if I want to shed I go lower again without counting calories. I rarely use a scale (I don't own one) just when I feel like it in the gym, but it won't tell if I lost muscel, fat or both...

I'm as healthy as it gets, everything checks out optimal ;)

That's just it, I will deal with the carbs in order to have the good stuff like fiber plus the cholesterol help. My LDL was 230 on meds when I wasn't doing anything but popping a pill...had been for a few years. At my age time migh be running out if I don't behave.

I usually eat at a deficit. Tonight is dart league so I'm sure I'll have 1-2 glasses of soda and perhaps a slice of pizza..my big splurge

Yes, almost year round. It's high protein high saturated fat, my LDL is getting lower the lower the carbs are.

That's me right now (an that's on the fat side!!)

Yeah, I used to be really into sports, but now I just watch them. The most physical things we do is some off-roading, fishing, and hunting lol. Wait, is beer pong a sport?

Yeah, I keep forgetting you're an old man :stirthepot:

I think, for most things though, moderation is key

Why you hate carbs so much?

I was surprised to see you weren't like 128 lbs

Most people that come in here talking about stuff, usually don't post pics up because they're either trolling, don't know what the hell they're talking about, or are extremely skinny or fat. Good for you......although, I still think your diet is nuts. I love my carbs. I think SpeedoJosh is a keto dude though, right?

I don't hate all carbs, but I do hate sugar and I'm not a big fan of processed food ;) A lot of health issues in the recent past just started when high carb and processed foods where introduced to the human diet...

That doesnt corrolate? LDL will come from animal products and the more your eating the higher it will be do u lower ur carbs and increase the fat only? Just curious why you choose to not eat carbs? On another note good progress just like zach said most people come in here and are way outa shape haha whats ur programing look like on that diet.

I would personaly never do low carb like that and could never reccomend a diet like that to a client without loosing my job or being put at risk for a lawsuit if anything happend but glad it works for you id just keep up to dat on lab work

There's no doubt I'm sure I'd be healthier if I ate like that, but I just can't. I've tried "clean eating" before and I wanted to kill myself.

Being old means I got to see the cool bands! :rockband:

But yeah, I agree on the moderation thing. I over-moderated so now I have to swing the pendulum the other way. I forget the exact #'s but in addition to the cholesterol being more than double what it should be on meds, I was borderline for diabetes and high blood pressure as well. Plus with no cartilege in one of my knees, it clearly makes more work if I carry more weight.

Very true about the music. Good stuff stopped coming out in the late 70's.

And I'm sure I'll have to start eating a little better with age and I'm not looking forward to it. In the meantime, it's packaged oatmeal and poptarts, baby!

For one, I got to see Metallica before they totally went to shit and with only Cliff missing due to his death

Even at that you're not doing bad. My diet in my 20's was usually one meal, around 9-10pm. A bar pizza, an app, and 20 pints of Budweiser. See now why I am so strict today?

Ordered that shirt today, can't wait for it to come in! Say's it's suppose to add easily 8lbs of gainz!

On another note, it's almost time for my 3rd meal. Brown rice, broccoli, and a pork chop. I seasoned the pork chop with 1/2 a tsp of liquid smoke and a dash of maple bacon seasoning. Hope it's good.

And on another, another note, I'm flying home for the holidays next Friday (1st xmas home in 8 years) and I don't want to lose track of whatever progress I might be making so I plan to hit the planet fitness or anytime fitness or whatever they have. My question, has anyone flown with powder supplements? Would like to bring some protein and preworkout. Was thinking about bringing the exact amount I'd need and double ziplock bag each. Tips?

I eat a lot of pre-packaged shit, but I try to keep my sodium down. I've always had pretty low bp when I watch my sodium intake, so I'm gonna keep on IIFYM'ing until I start noticing anything negative going on!
I'm pretty sure you're supposed to duct tape it to your stomach under your shirt so that it doesn't take up any space
