Damn. Nice. I don't really care how much weight I lose. I'm just trying to get down to like 8% BF.

I weighed in at 190 this morning, down from 204 in January. Finally starting to get some shoulder & biceps vein action and a little bit of upper ab action. My upper body gets kinda vascular when I flex or workout, but still nothing too noticeable when I'm just walking around. Also, my waist is down to a 32" from a 35-36." I'd say I'm about halfway there...probably 12-13% bf. I'm taking the second half much more seriously though. No more alcohol and only 1 cheat meal every 2 weeks.

My pre-cut bodyfat was a little higher than I thought it was. I thought I was around 14% starting out, but I really think I was around 16%. I'm just now getting to where the bicep veins pop out pretty good when I lift and my shoulder veins are visible resting, but not popping yet. Hopefully this time next month, I'll look like a road map like you lol

Thought I'd jump in to represent a different perspective on cardio. I used to lift a lot, and then did my first triathlon three years ago. From that first race I was hooked. I enjoyed the endurance challenge, the race culture comradery and most of all, the high you get from giving everything you got out on the race course. I've done a lot races since then including a half ironman and full marathon last summer. I am repeating those races again this summer and have my heart set on a full ironman in 2016.

Needless to say you end up doing a LOT of cardio getting ready for these events and it really transforms your body. I went from 180 at 15% body fat to 150 at 9%, on a 5’10 frame. During the spring through fall my weeks consist of 100+ miles on the bike; 15+ miles running, and 1 or 2 days in the pool 2-4 miles. I also value lifting and make it into the gym twice a week to do low weight high rep full body work outs (I know this flies in the face of what most body builders are doing). This adds up to 15-20 hours per week training. I am fortunate to have a very supportive wife who is also into fitness, no kids, and a flexible job. I am also fortunate to have a body that feels comfortable training at this level.

Not trying to disagree with anyone here. Indeed if you want a huge and muscular body, or even a lean but ripped body lifting can definitely do that for you. Though I also think it’s really important to enjoy what you do as much as the results you’re achieving. I enjoy endurance racing and training, and am fine with being lean and fairly strong as opposed to ripped and massively strong.

My wife appreciates my build too; I’m strong enough to sweep her off her feet and have near inexhaustible endurance.

Few pics of my build, including one with regular clothes -

Hey man, different strokes for different folks. As long as you're happy, do your thang! I enjoy lifting to get big and lean, but I have a friend like you who does marathons and the like; he just finished his first Ironman in Tennessee a few months ago and got the tattoo and all! I know, after seeing how he trains, it takes a lot of work to prepare for something like that. And hey, at least you're not doing Crossfit...

I took a different approach. Got into running and tris and was down to 172 with 7% bf. Now I'm getting much more into weights. Currently at 192 with 12-13% looking to get down to 10% at this weight and strength. Im looking for size and endurance. Best of both worlds. Still can do a 15K in 67 minutes.Still do the cardio thing but mostly biking and tris/runs. No long distance running really. I got up to doing 20 miles on a single run and while challenging it seems boring now.

I had pretty killer abs back then but I think the TW Live thread blocked the image.

My gym actually has posters hung on the walls that say no camera usage or photos (something along those lines) with three chics taking a selfie style photo together.

I dont think I will ever be below 10%.....:(

Okay, so now that this thread has died down and Eric has successfully tested the waters without getting banned, I'm unofficially brining back HGIYP, baby! that's 'hot girls in yoga pants', for those who didn't know
