Unless you have an injury you have no excuse! :p

Come on man, at 5'8" you should be shooting for 170 lbs at the least! :D That should be your goal for Christmas.

Just start squatting, and with repetition and constant stimulation you will see some gains. Along with proper nutrition and rest that is.

But at the end of the day we're all different and have different goals, so yea.

I'm starting legwork. Been doing 5x5 squats for awhile; started at just 1plate, got up to 250. Figure I can gain a solid 10 lbs of muscle in my legs

Buuuuut I have a fractured heel now....

Squats aren't going to do much for vert leap really. You need jump training for that.

250 bench at 140 is impressive. I've never even came close to that.

Yea, I was running a 4.5 40 yard way back when. Bird legs, no muscle, but pretty dang fast. I'd be happy to break 5.0 on the 40 now.

Dropping weight and doing 4X12 was very fun today! Did some 135# squats for 12 reps and felt great. Really focused on form and it showed. Ill do a heavy day next time i do exercise A

I stopped going couple months ago because im moving. I just got my second stripe too :( Hope to be back soon

All you guys wanting to gain in weight capcity while working on form. Check out The Outlaw Way.

It's cross fit. But a bit different. Saw great gains. Back squat went from 320 to 355. Front squat from 240 to 305. Was doing squat cleans amd jerks with 215 no problem.

Plus muscle ups, running, push-ups and just about everything went up.

Oh and it's free to subscribe to the daily work outs. Some of the movements are much different then what your used to. But they usually post vids of them or you can find them easy.

Squatting should help your jump though. But like you're doing do the higher rep range. Or you can start with strength and switch to the higher range once you like where you're at. I can jump fairly decently with not doing jump training all year until now. Only was doing squats and Stiff leg deads for legs.

Yea, I figured high rep would help the vert. I never used to do any jump training, just did leg day in weight training in school. Could grab rim on a 10' goal then at 5'8". Now, I'm lucky if I can touch like 3 inches below the rim. Gonna stick with the 3x15 box squats for a little bit. Might go up to 225 on my next leg day. After the pause on the box, I feel it really well in my glutes/hammys on the way back up. Might throw in some box jumps, too, just because.

Well no weight gains after 4 months. I completely changed my diet and started counting calories/ macros 4 months ago. Ever since I started eating all healthy foods and counting calories I cannot gain weight.. Makes no sense really. I even eat more food now than I ever did before. I am bummed out... watching that scale never move an ounce, no difference in BF.. nothing.

I am thinking about going to the doctor to get some tests done, maybe I have an over active thyroid, or other problems like anxiety and shit.. Ever since I started eating super clean I have been on fire, like my body temp is way higher (even though its not)... and other weird symptoms.. maybe my body is in shock haha :notsure: I've never in my life weighed this much (not much at all really 178# @ 6'2".. Maybe it's too hot outside now and I am unable to keep calories on since my job is really active...

Any advice? I feel maybe I should add a bunch of olive oil to all my drinks or something for more cals... I can't eat anymore, I feel like a fat guy all the time especially filled up on water (wish I just had a desk job sometimes)

dude all symptom is normal, eating more and clean boost metabolism like nobody's business, faster metabolism hotter the temp. but i hate to call you out there is no way, no Fing way your motabolism can beat your eating, its just not possible. easy way to pack on caloric surplus is ice cream with protein powder, put it in a food processor great gainer for the summer. trust me Micheal Phelps did not eat 12000 a day cuz its fun.

Try eating more solid foods. You seem to only be eating one "real meal" a day, then just supplementing with protein powder, PB, and fruit.

Eat meat and veggies. Need more fat, drink a can of coconut milk. Load up on some solid carbs like potatoes, not jelly.

Well as I've stated many times, I can't eat "real meals" I work 10+ hours a day 300 feet in the air.. Guess I'll just deal with it. I eat different things at night, like tonight I had spaghetti I made

sometimes to bulk you have to do it dirty. if you try to eat like 6000 cal clean you'll die lol but you can eat half of that in 2 burgers.
