Hey I tried that one! When I first started lifting. Now I do nothing but free weights. Focusing on getting a little stronger before I add all that volume in. I wanna be able to look big and perform big too

Do you guys have a good fat loss program that WORKS? I dont want those workouts they try to sell and put them on ads ect. I think I'm going to try to lose a lot of the fat on my back and stomach since im having a hard time getting strength gains. Should I keep lifting? Im completely new to this. It seems simple but no matter what I tried in the past didn't work for me. Eat perfect if possible, burn calories (more than whatever I eat drink ect).

Just to be honest with you, no workout program that I have ever seen, heard about, or read and no trainer that I have talked to has ever recommended a program without a rest day once or twice a week.

So either they are all wrong...or...something is missing in your program.

Fatloss comes from burning more calories than you consume. Cardio isn't a ticket to fat loss, although it does burn calories. The best results I've had losing fat is just sticking to a normal workout plan (4-5 days a week, with certain muscle groups targeted each day). Konaborne has it right, though...high rep, low weight is the way to go; it burns more calories. Try to hit the 12-15 rep range. Your last rep should have you screaming though, so don't go too low. Pick a weight that you can't do more than 15 or so of.

That being said, a little cardio isn't going to hurt. Jackasses that run 2 hrs a day to lose fat could speed up the process by running a mile or 2, then hitting the weights. Lifting weights simply burns more calories than cardio.

Lastly, diet is 99% of fat loss. Being 100% dedicated to lifting with a b ad diet isn't gonna help you lose fat. You gotta cut out almost all sugar, processed foods, etc. Eat lean meats, raw or steamed vegetables, and good carbs (whole wheat, black beans, etc.)

Remember, abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym.

Is he referring to over-training or doing burn-outs? Over-training is about as healthy as getting your post workout meal from KFC.

If you want to lose fat then fix your diet. Working out helps, but the kitchen is way faster. Don't worry about the whole calorie counting, it's not as easy as intake less then output. If I eat 3000 calories of meats and vegetables I am not going to get the same results as eating 3000 calories of donuts and cookies. No matter if I do burn 3100 calories that day. Plus, plenty of people lose fat while intaking more calories then they output that day.

Look more into a diet that you can sustain forever, that way there is none of the problems that usually come with quick loss diets.

Yea, listen to Zach as well. Don't just sit there and run all day. There's a reason you always see fat distance runners, but rarely see fat sprinters. Hitting some weights and fixing your diet will be much easier, faster, and probably safer for an overweight person to do.

I tried counting calories, carbs, protein, and fat and it was a freakin nightmare. Now, I just try to eat 6-8 meals a day with a source of protein, carbs, and a vegetable or fruit with each one. Much easier and am still seeing GAINZ

If you have an iPhone or Droid. You can use My Fitness Pal. Great app... you can do it online but its easier on your phone lol. Then when you get used to knowing what you eat you wont need to record calories as much as just knowing what you eat

That's pretty much where I am now. I can prep all my meals the night before without counting all that crap. Too much of a waste of time. After about 2 weeks of counting, it's a lot easier to just look at stuff and get a rough estimate
