Dude, you've got the same problem as me...you're a hard-gainer. Remedy: EAT EVERYTHING IN SIGHT! When I'm bulking, I eat fast food, pizza, soft drinks, everything! You've got to get your calories in, no matter what. For me, it's about 4000 to gain weight, 3000 to maintain, and about 2500 to cut at a slow rate. After you get to where you wanna be, start cleaning up your diet, but still make sure to get the amount of cals and macro's to support the weight you wanna be at. The bigger you get, the more you you gotta eat! Currently, I'm bulking and am up to around 15-16% bf and eating 3500-4000 cals/day and around 210g protein/day. I eat semi-clean, but not totally. Come Jan, I start cutting and eat about 2500 cals and keep the same amount of protein and get down to about 9-10% bf in late March, early April. You'll lose SOME muscle, but not much

this is just what works for me...there's thousands of methods, diets, etc. that will get you big, and thousands more that will get you ripped. For me, I can't get big and stay ripped. Bulking and cutting works best for me.

EDIT: Also, I don't count carbs, but when cutting I significantly reduce my carb intake

worst part of the year. About Jan-Feb, attendance jumps up about 90%...by March, it's back to the regulars again.......until about 1 month before summer lol

I'd say, of all the new people that come sign up in Jan, 1% of them stick with it...folks just getting in the damn way. I'd like to see what GNC looks like in January...I bet they sell so much crap to people...

Is it better to have simple carbs or complex carbs before a workout? Same question post workout...

    no kidding haha

this... complex is slow digesting so itll give your body the fuel needed to last through out your workout... then you get a simple carb in to shock your system and let your body regen and grow

Yea, no shit. Pretty much kiss the covers goodbye on workout days. It's gotten better, or I've just started eating earlier. You're probably going to run hot a lot more often though. I hate going to the damn library now. Once I get to the third floor, I have to sit there and not move for about 10 minutes to cool down to avoid getting my shirt all sweaty.

What are you planning on being your go-to carb post workout?
Keifer is all about those cherry turnovers. I try to stick to sweet potatoes, but have been know to kill a twinkie or three in a bind.
