ultimately it depends on your personal goals. looking to gain quality weight/musclemass----ingest calories from all 3 caloric categories. but if fatloss, i.e. becoming ripped/shredded are your primary motivation, refrain from the carbs and fat and ingest some high-quality recovery-promoting protein sources. or if wishing to enter into the field of becoming ultralean, eat nothing at all.

Generally speaking eating nothing at all is a terrible idea and should never be recommended regardless of personal goals.

eating nothing actually makes you gain weight because when you do eat your body will than retain all the food ingested and not digest it therefore taking in more calories than if you ate on a schedule

i apologize for possible confusion on the matter--i was referring to consuming food immediately prior to bed. in terms of throughout the day, absolutely, eat every 2.5-3.0 hours if possible!

Ok. well today i tried a new protein. Before i was using really old EAS whey protein that was chunky and gross. i tried a brand new one today. BSN Syntha-6 with some low fat milk and man this stuff tastes awesome!. Syntha-6 is my vote for taste alone haha

I use Gold Standard 100% Whey. Works great but not the best tasting. Maybe if you use milk it would be better but we dont have any around here
