So....what should i do?

So I have like a cyst, you know "down there" its like a hard bump, been there for 7 months or so. It is about the size of a large zit, my dermatologist is a female, but there are 2 other male dermo's in the office too. Should i just have her examine it or request a male...?

 

dude, just get it checked out immediately...cysts can get really bad! i had a cyst right above my ass....lower back... it took surgery to remove mine...like completely put under.....i hope thats not how urs is.....but get it checked out ASAP

if its a cyst and he pokes it and it gets punctured...it could become very infected.... thats what my dermatologist told me when i had my cyst on my lower back, that i had to have surgically removed

My sister had the same thing a few months ago. It was right on her tail bone. She couldn't sit down. It popped one day and smelled AWFUL. They had to surgically remove it.

I had a what I thought was a cyst a few years back, the doctor went in to remove mine and after about 2 hours of him digging in my back, fully awake he goes oh hmm well it's a tumor. Turned out to be benign. Go get it checked still

 

Go to the doc - ANY doc NOW!!!! Waiting 7 months is way too long.

about going to a female doc. Your "down there" won't be the first she's seen.

 

The female doc is not going to give a shit if it is on your privates. Get her to check it out. They are professionals.

 

I understand your hesitation with the male/female debate, but it won't matter which one does it - they're both docs.

Definitely get it checked out ASAP. Odds are it is nothing (calcium buildup, benign cyst, etc...) but you won't know until you see a doc about it. It could be a sign of something more serious.

So i went in today, and the doctor looked at it, she said oh its a ingrown hair...put some of this anti inflammatory cream on. I was like cant you just cut it out, i dont wanna put cream just cut it out. She said she wanted to try this first since anything in that area tends to bleed alot when you remove it. So meh.
