Project Driver Weight Reduction

so i've decided in addition to my lifting i am going to start project driver weight reduction. i'm 6 ft tall, in high school i was 180 lbs my senior year. some people said i looked to skinny, but apparently thats within the right specs for someone my height. i was currently 226. so in addition to my lifting, i started running in increments also, and also joined weight watchers online to see if it works. so far i'm down 5 lbs in the first 2 weeks. my schedule right now is lift monday, wed and fri, jog/run tuesday, thursday and saturday, rest everything on sunday. i've been eating much better, and i honestly am already starting to feel better. my goal right now is 200lbs, then my next would be under 200. but that's it, i really don't want to go to much below the 190 range. i think this is reasonable. with my lifting, if i add weight from gaining muscle weight that's perfectly fine with me too! i hope to update with more good news as this "project" progresses!

Congrats! My wife and I had lost about 25 pounds at the end of January from last July. Even though we were working out and eating what we thought was better (granted the Holidays and old habits were killing us through January) we weren't losing weight. So my wife joined weight watchers. She's going to all the meetings and i just count points for myself. I'm down 40 lbs now! Weight Watchers does work, just stick with it!

if weightwatchers has taught me anything, its portion control. I may sign up again for 3 more months after i complete these first 3 just to make sure the idea sticks in my head.

Yeah, portion control is huge. Also makes you realize some of the foods that I used to way over indulge in aren't worth eating at all.

Exactly! Makes you realize that if you eat "x" then it affects what you can eat or should eat the rest of the day without overeating in terms of calories and fat and carbs etc... i really like that part of it.

very nice, I'm in the process losing weight too, 15 lbs in 2.5 months so far, If i wanted to push myself, I could average 5-7 lbs a week.... definitely not worth it though, I have to keep up with school.

I don't know how weight watchers works, but the one thing that I have found is that writing down what you eat (ie. burger, 500 cal, 30g fat) makes you realize how much you have actually been eating, which will make you eat less

i forgot to update this for a while. i'm stopped having the 4 or 5lbs down in a week but that is to be expected. i've finished up the couch to 5K program, i've been on the final work out week now for 2 weeks. warm up walk for 5 min, jog for 30, 5 min cooldown walk. my miles arent anything to brag about, between 9:50 to 10:00 but i'm happy with it. i still lift 3 days a week and run 3 days a week. this week i weighed in a 202.5, down from 226 when i started. i'm very happy with my results so far, still losing almost a pound a week so it must still be there to loose as far as i'm concerned. oh well, i'm going to buy new clothes now as none of my jeans fit anymore.

Fat is what you want to get rid of, not the muscle. With help of diet pills such as Phentermine or Adipex, weight loss process can be a lot easier and faster.
