Yeah I thought carbs needed to be low on rest days. But I was just schooled by Sean that carbs/proteins/fats should be consistent.

    There's 1,000 ways to skin a cat!

Everything works, but it's because calories are maunipulated through reducing specific foods. Just find what you can do consistantly enough to maintain.

Consistancy wins over any specific diet (low carb, low fat, etc)!

Here's a good recipe I'd like to share.

    Sweet potato
Extra Virgin Olive oil (brushed on)
    And Ms. Dash fiesta lime.

Just had a quite healthy dinner. 1 chicken breast seasoned with a little pepper and lemon and cooked on the George Foreman, 1/4 cup quinoa, and some asparagus. My Fiance wasn't too impressed, but it's been a good day. A run in the morning with the family, bike ride later and a nice dinner.

I've been meaning to try quinoa. Doesn't look appetizing but a lot body builders eat it.

Sounds like a nice day BTW

You don't have to be too cautious of what you eat. Now I'm not saying eat junk food or anything like that, but as long as you're hitting your macro nutrients based on you then you can sustain, gain, lose, depending on your goals and how much you exercise.

I actually like it a lot. I ate it plain and was more than happy with the taste. Last week I added some peas and corn to it and it added some flavor. I definitely recommend it.

I love these! I use original Mrs dash though :).
You can also do the same thing with Kale. Bake it up nice a crispy and its kinda like chips/popcorn. Good stuff though

Alpha, as a better oil, wouldn't you rather use something like coconut oil? I'm not trying to change what you are eating, I am asking for myself. I have recently gotten into the paleo diet and am trying to limit my intake on certain things.

Are there any sites or cookbooks you guys use when finding recipes? We want to eat better, but it's hard to find new and healthy recipes sometimes. I'm getting sick of the 6 meals my Fiance can cook.

I've started just using Paleo websites for healthier eating. It's tough when you can't use a lot of starches, wheats, flours and so on in your cooking but you can do it. Just look up great paleo recipes.
