That's a shit load of carbs and cals. I think I am averaging 1800 calories a day, give or take 200. The only carbs I am eating are sugars from fruits.

Lol. I'm a week into the paleo/healthy eating. I've lost an inch from the waist so far. No weight since I started working out like I used to.

Thanks, I'll have to look into those. My Fiance is obsessed with breads and pasta so it makes it hard to watch out for those particular items. :(

It does suck since I loved them too. It's been REALLY hard this first week, but I can tell you the change is amazing. My skin feels better (had dry skin and excema), my body feels better and it's nice not being hungry for a full meal every 2 hours. I just snack all day on fruits, veggies and nuts.

That's a great idea. Never thought of using coconut oil. I'll give it a try. Thanks

Yep! I saw this thread and am enjoying going through it. I've learned a lot of good information on how bad my eating habits were over the past week just by eating paleo. This is a good little chart with the different things to cook with.

I either put a lot of oil or its very flavorful... But it over powered the salmon. I'll try less next time.

Depends on the type you get. I saw 2 different oils... and reading about it some have the flavor bleached out, some don't.

Speaking of flavors... I need to run out and get more jalapeno's today.

Subbed, I just started working out again after a few months off. I'm pretty much training for mountain bike race season in the fall. So basically I want to lose any weight butt stay strong. I definitely want to get my meals in line too. For lunch today is baby spinach salad with chicken

Not food related but mtn bike fitness. I just bought a kettlebell for mountainbike workouts. I read that the turkish getup is one of the best workouts you can do.

For dinner last night I had a grilled turkey burger seasoned with Mrs dash on wheat bread with mustard, Sriracha, and baby spinach. It was delicious.

for my second dinner I had a steak quesadilla:cool:

I actually just started doing that haha. I need to figure out what weight I can do. I just don't want to be done for the rest of my workout

That meal sounds good though. Haha that gives me an idea maybe I'll do chicken quesadillas for lunch tomorrow

I got a 30lb KB and I feel like its a good starting weight. This morning I did those plus squats and lunges all at the house. (too cold to leave at 5am to go to the gym)

chicken quesadilla with spinach! add hotsauce of choice :D

I am trying to gain weight at this point though so Im sure I eat differently than most. I still try and eat as few proccessed foods as possible though

I just did paleo style chipotle. Salad with veggies, carnitas, hot and mild salsa and guac. I was tired of home food
