If you like the box shape of the MVP and you don't need a cylindrical style mod, my favorite road trip VV, that I use when a mech mod isn't practical, is the Innokin VTR. It's heavy, but it's sexy and it gives you even more control of your volts/watts so you can run hotter. But, you're limited by the recessed tank connector on the side if you run tanks bigger than 18mm diameter. I love it especially for running iClear30s tanks, and I do like the recessed tank feature on it because it keeps everything compact. Plus, you put your own 18650 batteries in it so you never run into the battery failures that the MVP has.

Then go with something reliable like a Vamo, or an Innokin SVD.

Do any of you buy your mods off ebay? I was just looking around and the tesla kit at my local vape shop is 79.99 + tax where on ebay it is 40.00 with free shipping. And that comes with the batteries, tank and charger.

I order my stuff from "Hoosier E-cig" and "Mount Baker Vapor". They are both good shops. I get my stuff usually within 3 days and I live in Hawaii.

Glad I found this thread! I have a Kamry K100 mechanical and a SMOK Magneto II mechanical. I run a AGA-T3 tank on both with drip tips for big hits.

Just a bunch of old crap
Usually ebay has clones and that's why they're cheaper, and the authentics are few and far between. I love getting clones of the original because they are a fraction of the price. While I hate supporting companies that copy others, I'm all for saving a dollar.

Tesla "styled" clones are even cheaper on fasttech if you don't mind waiting 2-3 weeks for China post. http://www.fasttech.com/search?tesla

LOL my friend has one. Fine if you want an oddly shaped mech mod. He used it a few times and put it away.

For an 18650 mod, I love my old authentic Magneto. Button is smooth like butter and it hits hard.

I don't hit anything but the purple Efest 35A when I'm running 18650's. 2 for $20 on Amazon, too.

Not only do they hit hard and handle super sub ohm setups better, but they last as long or longer than my Panasonics that rate at 3400mAh. No joke.

I run low ohm dual coil setups on my Magneto and I can get a full 12 hours out of one purple eFest 2500mAh. The Magneto has super low voltage drop and is very efficient, so battery life depends on the quality of your mod.

When I run the purples in my VTR, I can get 2 full days out of one battery. That's running a dual coil carto, too.

I'm gonna have to buy some of those. I have heard good things. I still have 4 VTC5s, but they are getting tired. I've seen people trying to sell VTC5s for ridiculous amounts of money.

Just finished machining this! Titanium one piece drip cap with 3/8" bore for my infinite TOBH clone. Tips stays cool even with a hot build :D

I torched it to turn the tip blue, but then threw it in the tumbler for a slight stonewash finish, and the bore stayed blue on the inside

Just search Amazon for "efest 18650 35 amp" and keep an eye on prices. Vendors come and go, and I wait until I find a listing that has a 2 pack for $20ish. Right now the best price is a guy selling for $11 but wants $4.99 shipping each.

Make SURE you're getting the 35 amp version 2500mAh, and not the older 30 or 20 amp models.

Most vape shops usually have these, too. I think I paid $17.99 for my first one to test it out, and got a couple more on Amazon later.

That's awesome. I have a couple tanks I'd love to do this to, and enlarge/raise the airholes, too.
