    Old thread sorry. Voltaren (generic Diclofenac), Non steroidal Anti Inflammatory twice daily dosage. Good considering its strong and only twice daily dosage. Prescription drug. Also sold in patch and topical transdermal. Typical NSAID side effects ie-gastric effects, can increase risk of bleeding. Not a narcotic, not habit forming. Any other questions.

    sorry for the late post but they also make a gel you can apply but im guessing you either had an allergic reaction or took the medicine on an empty stomach?

    no on the empty stomach I have been put on enough of those things to know better.

    I am on a dose of 75mg taken twice per day with meals.


    It has helped a great deal with knees that are overdue for replacement (same story with right shoulder).

    Prior to this I was taking 4 Advil three times per day.
