Scar cream
Long story short, I was wasted Friday night, got in a scuffle in my kitchen with some drunk party goers, and fell on the stove while my housemate was cooking a quesadilla. I have this mean burn scar that runs skinny down my arm. While I dont give a shit about scars, it will look bad when my parents see it during Christmas so I wanna put some scar cream or something on it to make it heal faster and hopefully disappear some. What have you used in the past that worked well? I want to get it quick so I can start applying it before the scar gets too permanent. Thanks!

Last time I got a bad cut, over a year ago, the Doc gave me some kind of clear tape to put over the scar after the stitches were removed.
I forget the name of the product, but I followed the directions and the scar has completely disappeared. Pretty kewl. Search it out - I don't think it was a prescription thing. |

Vitamin E works great to promote healing, it just stinks.
Petroleum jelly works too but its messy and doesn't rub into the skin as well. As far as mederma is concerned, it's a good product but it's expensive and you may be disappointed with the results. I honestly don't know enough about it to recommend. Remember, cuts or scars heal quicker with a moist environment, that's why petroleum jelly works so well. |

Years ago I watched my coworker pick up a soldering iron by the hot end. I could smell the burn. He immediately ran out to his truck and came back with a baggie full of fresh cut aloe. He crushed it up and applied it to the burned area. At the end of the day, there was no sign of a burn at all.
I dont know much about aloe, but I saw for myself. |

X2. I used this when my dog bit my son's face. It didn't make the scar dissappear completely, but it significantly reduced it's appearance.
