It depends on the dentist. In the past I hated it, now I have a really good dentist and it is fine.

    I fucking hate the dentist.

I'll have NO problems whatsoever, go in for a check-up, then a week AFTER my check-up a cavity will pop up.

    It's a fucking scam.

I really like the dentist I have now.
He is a big dog lover, an avid hunter, doesn't try to sell anything & is very honest, funny & just a normal joe.
I love getting my teeth cleaned and would go every month if I could ......

I go to the dentist when a tooth hurts.

Don't you find it odd that you go there every 6 months simply because he tells you to?

Sounds like an easy way to keep a consistent flow of business. I bet people don't go to the dermatologist every 6 months. If they did, a lot more skin cancer cases would be caught earlier.

i felt like punching him when he would use that. but to my surprise the rarely use that now, its more like a little dremel but dentist sized and on a 90 degree alngle from the handle with an uber tiny teeth cleaning bit/brush. altought they do still dig in there with that dreaded little hook to get the hard to reach stuff

I just got home from the dentist and had 2 cavities filled. It's more of a love-hate relationship with the dentist... Pretty cool guy that hunts, fishes, etc. just like Judy's dentist, but I just really dislike what all they have to do...

I enjoy paying for his boat that i have never seen or been on.

After paying cash out of pocket for a root canal and a crown last year due to a failed filling from many years ago, i destroyed a 2nd tooth eating popcorn about 3 weeks later and needed another crown due to the extent of the damage. No root canal on that one, at least...

On a side note, he thinks i have issues due to me laughing at him with mouth wide open while he is hammering inside my head with power tools.
