I know the door I'm opening with the title...but here goes anyway.

It holds 2.5 gallons of brew. I fill it when I'm bottling. Half in the pig, half in bottles.

The problem I'm having is that the beer I put in the Pig gets so pressurized when you try and dipense some beer it's super foamy and I end up loosing a lot of brew. I've been told perhaps too much priming sugar. The thing is the beer in the bottles is perfect.

    Anybody else experience this.

Ya, lower the sugar slightly, or orient the pig so it can vent and release SOME of the pressure.

You want the beer carbonated, but it's over-foaming because of the excessive pressure combined with the "nozzle" effect of the dispenser.
It's a problem with bar design. The farther from the bar the kegs are, the larger lines are needed, and it takes some trial and error balancing the CO2 pressure to deliver the product, but not overcarbonate it.
Kegs in the basement are the hardest to deal with.

Thanks Rich, I'll try that next time. If it were you how much would you reduce the sugar by? 25%...10%...5%? Or perhaps more?

    No clue.
My buddy used to homebrew and "keg" into 5 gallon soda syrup cans for his kegerator. I brew Meade... I'm using like 64oz of honey per gallon of must (last batch was 17%!)

Maybe you're using too much priming sugar. Does the dispensing co2 and normal prime amount equal too much? I know it sucks but maybe add your priming sugar for bottles and your pigs separate. Trial and error.

The main problem that you will face, regardless of priming sugar technique is that the dispenser on the party pig won't open "properly." Same as if you halfway pull a keg dispenser. Causes a lot of bubbles. Just keep it as cold as possible, be sure you push the dispenser in ALL the way, and then save some money to upgrade to 5-gal soda kegs. You will never go back!:)
