Kegging is a great step - I went straight to it. As for the manifold; I have seen many types but the simplest is to just lay a hose on top of the grain bed and control the flow. I know a couple guys that brew awesome beer that do it this way.

    Air bags, again for now.
My first attempt of making anything was to make 4 gallons of hard apple cider. Drank all but two in the name of sampling the progress. The last four growlers are heading to the night race at Bristol and a jar of this weird clear liquid :D.
And yes it has cleared up a lot this is the first day in the bottle.

That's awesome. I made 3 gallons about 10 months ago. Still have a gallon and a half in secondary. Never could get the bottle carbonation down so I kind of forgot about it. Poured a glass off last week and it's 10x better than it was at month 2. Now I really wish I had a forced carb setup.

Yeah I know, I am just waiting to upgrade everything else to a 10 Gal. system and then I will splurge on the false bottom. Even without it I still make (at least my friends tell me) very good beer....but having a nice false bottom with a good sparge setup would really be nice.

I always see you guys talk about Pliney. Is it somewhat easy to find on the shelves in stores?
Going to be Sacramento next month and want to try some and/or bring some back.

Thanks! I will start calling some places next week and ask if they can hold some. Does it come in 6 packs, 4 packs or singles?

Start with Whole Foods (I'm guessing they get these types of calls often, so be extra curteous, lol).

I've never seen Pliny come in "packs", only single bottles.

Also, if you find and enjoy PtE, or just like DIPAs, be on the look out for Stone's Enjoy By "Date" (<--The date changes).

I was indifferent about that one. It was good but I think I was expecting something a little different. There were a lot of flavors going on with it. I remember how much it cost at the store. I can only imagine how much it is at WOB.

ALL of Boneyards brews are unreal but Hop Venom is my favorite beer out of all brews...any brand. Anyone ever travel thru Bend Oregon, you HAVE to stop at these guys place. Amazing shit!

Our Growler Fill Station just down the street got the RPM and Hop Venom back in stock a couple days ago. Heading there after work for a big ole growler of this stuff!!!! Such high demand it's been gone for awhile.
