Anyone build a RIMS or HERMS setup? Benefits of each?

Benefits of each? Just started to acquire the materials to build my own 15 gal system but wondering what the benefits of going to HERMS would be... i like the idea of having the wort flowing through the mash but would it make my beer more consistent? (maybe if it was automated?)
