Thanks Homer, grille showed up Tuesday :woot: Swapped out the mesh for the one I've been prepping at home. Saving the other one for a backup. Hard to tell with the crappy pics but the letters are outlined in MGM. Now I just need to relocate my horns and paint the radiator. Hopefully the weather cooperates this weekend, fingers crossed.

Did you install the TOYOTA letters yourself, or did Craig make it that way? Looks awesome! Both of them!

Installed myself. Bought the FJ emblem and then cut it apart with the dremel. Epoxied some hardware to the back of each letter and then attached it to the mesh I had previously bought from Craig.

About 1/2 way through cutting the letters

That's great! My grill order is gonna change 20 times before I come up on deck.

What mesh is that and do the screws go through the holes or do you have to drill?

    Thanks for the response.

Screws fit right through and then I used a washer and nut with some loctite on the back.

Would most emblems fit through the M4 holes?

It all depends on how they are attached...
If you purchase a stick on emblem like the stock ones then there is no issue at all.:D

Grills on the left are the batch currently in production.
There is a bit more fab work to do on them but that will be completed this weekend.
The outer surrounds and mesh will be back by the end of next week if not sooner and I'll start shipping them out.
We have the Easter Holiday weekend coming up so that may goober me up a bit. - We'll see :notsure:

The grills on the right just came in (way early too) So I'll be PM'ing the next batch maybe this coming weekend?

    Thank you,
    ~ Craig

    Wow.

With the black grill, is it really worth the time and effort to separate the letters? I have the same badge for mine, but from looking at your pictures, unless it's backlighted, it doesn't seem that the background would be noticeable on the truck.

BTW: For anyone that wants the part number... 75311-90K00 will get you the FJ grill badge with white lettering.

Here's some details on how it looks out of the box.

There's a number of ways to be creative with the mounting. I had planned on leaving the "fin" spacers on the badge to hold it out from the mesh to keep the edges of the letters from abrading the paint on the mesh.

Hard to see in the pictures but the parts on the ends look like they snap into a hole in the grill. Center, as can be seen, is drilled for a screw.

I wanted to somehow screw on my emblem too, but I just ended up glue it on, it's just much easier. If my truck was white, I would've went with those white TOYOTA emblem too, looks great on your truck. Here's mine with the tacoma emblem just glued on today:

All I did was grind down the center notch on the back to the fins you're refering to. Then it just snapped into the M1 mesh like it was made for it, but I addad a little epoxy to the back side of the mesh to make it permenant. It took a whole 15 minutes.
