I just recently bought the Icon Stage 7T kit for my '14 taco. Originally, I kept the fronts set to the factory setting, but my 285/70/17s around 17x9 (-12offset) rims were rubbing the fender and frame (cab mount?) slightly. Then it settled and it got unbearable. So I got an alignment and rubbing was considerably less but rubbed a lot in reverse. I grabbed my spanner wrench and cranked it up until there was only like 4 full revolutions left or threads showing underneath where you crank w/ the wrench. I'm not even close to rubbing right now. *I'm also running a plate bumper and winch.

    1) Is lifting it that high going to negatively effect the quality of the suspension?

    2) Will the coil overs settle again and drop the height of my truck?

I got the Stage 5, and cranked mine up a bit (about 2") from factory setting. There was a difference, but also effected my down travel. I have been told to get a longer sping to compensate for this, BUT, that will still effect down travel to my understanding. I just found a middle ground that works well and left it. I'm running the same as you, 285/70/17.

Got a question...How do you like the Dirt King's? And where did you pick up your bumps for the front? Looking to almost go the same route. Got stock LCA's right now, with the Stage 5 installed.

I like my dirt kings lower and upper control arms. Uniballs are a little tight, but that's more of the uniballs themselves than the arms. what this does is the truck has less tendency to center itself when you let go of the wheel. i got used to it and it seems to have gotten better.

with the factory upper and lower control arms, i wouldn't get any weird noises while turning. now i do. not sure why, been trying to figure it out forever. checked that everything is tight and properly lubed and now i just live with it.

    got my bumps here:

How do the bumps perform. Have you noticed any problems with a hard hit? Do they soak it up pretty well? Pretty easy install...sure looks like it!!

Those super bumps are great. They are much softer than the factory ones and actually cushions the impact. To get better performance, I think you would have to get air bumps or a second shock or something with built in bump zone. That gets expensive fast and will require more maintenance.
