[/FONT]2.5″ Remote Reservoir with CDC valve

The ICON CDC Valve is an externally adjustable valve that restricts oil flow into the reservoir creating 10 levels of compression damping force ranges. Controlling the amount of oil flow externally allows for optimally adjusting damping for varying terrain. With the addition of an ICON CDC Valve a different tune is required on the working piston to get the ride quality range of adjustment to softer than standard at the “S” setting and much firmer than standard at the “H” setting. The ICON CDC Valve piston is custom tuned per application with different valve stacks because not all shocks or applications are equal. Adding on the CDC Valve is not a one size fits all if you want optimum performance. The CDCV external knob allows for 10 positive clicks of adjustment. Each detent from S-H is a noticeable difference in ride. When engineering this feature into each shock application, the main shock piston is recalibrated such that setting “4” is equivalent to the non CDCV version. This allows for both a softer and firmer ride than the same application without this option. The ICON CDC Valve brings a new thinking to the table with an upgrade option that offers true ride quality diversity.

    CDC Valve Upgrade Features:

    · ICON Shocks with the CDC Valve are application specific tuned like all ICON shocks
    · Internally calibrated per application based on motion ratio, shaft diameter, and vehicle weights
    · 10 detent stops and large adjuster knob allow easy to feel adjustments
    · Allows the end user to optimize the ride specific to his / her liking on all types of terrain
    · Clearly engraved knob for direct reading of current setting
    · Allows for lower reservoir pressure than a non CDCV equipped shock which
    decreases seal friction improving compliance.

CDC Valve Upgrade Pricing over current shock price

    MSRP: $135.00 (each) / $270.00 (pair)

(labor and additional parts may be required on existing 2.5" shocks. Please call to inquire for total cost to upgrade)

Can existing ICON ressi owners be updated to this newer type? (exchange)

Is there also a benefit or not needed for triple bypass Icon?

where and how can this upgrade be done?

Correct, they can be added. The Shocks get shipped to Icon for the upgrade. I believe you can go direct or if local you can go through us. (no sense in shipping to us, then out to them for non local guys)

Just to clarify, we do not have a triple bypass shock currently being produced besides our rear 3.0 Raptor shocks. The CDC Valve is not a for a bypass as you have that functionality, along with rebound, with the separate bypass tubes. The CDC option is for Remote or Piggyback Reservoir (non bypass) 2.5" shocks.

Hey Sublime sorry we missed this. Give me a call tomorrow if this has not been handled and I will help you out.

If you just want the price it is $845.00 total for the Resi w/ CDC Valve installed and a complete rebuild.

Thanks Brad, think I'm just going to get a standard re-build from SDHQ.

Think I'll invest in 2.5" rears with bolt on bumps instead.....I'm happy with the front end (need slightly more high speed compression though) but the rear end can't keep up.

Sounds like a solid plan.....can always do it later. 2.5's with the Hydraulic bumpstops def makes a big difference.

What internally on a non-resi coilover is being changed to add the CDC reservoirs? I'm thinking about adding them to a set I'm rebuilding and figure this is the best time to add them.

Internally you are taking the floating piston out and moving it over to the remote reservoir, along with changing the valving on the piston. Outside of that you will be changing the top cap and adding the remote reservoir w/CDCV.

We do this complete (including all parts, seals, new oil, labor) for $845.00
